When I was visiting So-Cal last month, I spent a day documenting my favorite thrifty city huntress - Kelly Love! She’s a stylist and the founder of Around the City Vintage. I met Kelly a little over a year ago through my roommate Edith, who invited her and Fernando, her partner in crime, to visit us in San Francisco for a weekend of morning thrift store crawls and hot spot Mission nights. Nowadays, we get together for ice cream and STILL get our thrift on in the 310 and 415.
Kelly was already a stylish household name in our apartment before she even came to the city to flaunt her good ish. Edith shares stories with me about Kelly’s infamous pop up flea markets in L.A. warehouses, rambunctious rooftop parties and colorful late night dance parties with her mother, Originales by Rosie. This month, Kelly Love’s styling is featured in Glam Couture Magazine on model Afua, photographed by Barry Druxman with makeup by Jessica Davis.

You should check out some of Kelly’s vintage treasures on Etsy, at SIXHUNDRED LA, or hit her up on Twitter if your closet’s hungry for off-beat beauties. Are you wondering how Kelly gets to channel a my little pony with her curly locks? Check out the ACV Tumblr for a fabulous picture spam of inspirational fashion vomit. Love you, girl!
We began our afternoon at a Wing Stop in Carson, CA. I’m slightly embarrassed to admit this, but Wing Wednesday is a Godsend.

She works hard for the money, ta-na-na-na-na!
